Thought I'd make a dedicated thread for it to discuss, post memes, and also just to inform people who are not in on it.
Things to know:
- This is a CS:GO Major, meaning it's a large CS:GO tournament that's backed by Valve. These happen three times a year.
- This is the largest prize pool for a single CS:GO tournament to date, coming in at $1,000,000. (Excluding sponsorships and other player team proceeds)
- Winning team gets $500,000, second place gets $150,000
- This is the first Major in NA. (North America) NA is notorious for having a small presence in the professional CS:GO scene. (Historically dominated by EU teams)

Best overview of the bracket & current standings:
As of writing this post, we're about to go into Day 2 of the tournament.
Yesterday, half of the quarter finalists were determined.
Today, the 8 teams who didn't come out on top of their group are going to have to battle it out.
Losers will go home, winners will be placed in the quarter final.
The big surprises so far have been:
Fnatic (who have won two out of the last three majors) losing against Team Liquid on Dust2, putting them in the losers' bracket against FaZe today.
I'm rooting for Mousesports to defeat NIP, because I would love to see a Dutch player (ChrisJ) in the quarter finals of a major.
No one really expects FaZe to stand a chance against Fnatic, but the same was said about Team Liquid, so I'm going to keep my FaZe hype.
