Remember, if you need to use restricted tools, click Here!

Thought it would be a bit more complicated, but meh

Step 1: Create a seat

Posted Image

Step 2: Create an advanced pod controller, link it to the seat

Posted Image

Step 3: Create a facer (Built-in Ě®rÕR404 optional  )

Posted Image

Step 4: Position your facer, optionally add weapons

Posted Image

Step 5: Wire X Y and Z from the facer into X Y and Z in the pod controller

Posted Image

Step 6: Wire On from the facer to Active on the pod controller

Posted Image

Step 7: <OPTIONAL> Wire Crosshairs from the advnced pod controller to Active on the advanced pod controlelr (Equavalent of wiring into a constant 1, but without the extra gate)

Posted Image

Step 8: Get in your seat and test it ;)

Wow... cool!

Shhh! Hat's tutorial is better!

No, really, I prefer text+image tutorials over video's, as you can more easily overview the whole tutorial and it is easier to interpret in your own speed.
Video tutorials are always play-pause-play-pause-play-pause OR way too streched, causing me to skip through and miss stuff.

Oh, Hat, I was wondering, can I attach this to a ship? Maybe with a special ball-socket constraint?

ballsocket the facer to the hull. DONE

and yes text tutourials may br better, but hats tutourial required donator content. Thats why ill follow the other one.

Can you attach it to a ship and control it while driving?

I used a facer because:
1. It's easy
2. It's less likely to cause a crash than a gyropod

For the facer to work properly, it needs to be frozen, which means attatching it to a moving prop is a bad idea (See my "Gunship T" ship dupe for a solution)

I won't write a tutorial for the gyropod, as if it goes out of control (Pretty likely, if it's not set up right) it could easily crash the server, plus it can't be parented
I'll try out the vector thruster method, though, but I was under the impression that was also a donator-only tool

If I feel it's useful, I'll write another tutorial for it (But this thread is about manual facer turrets)

Tip.
Instead of using the seat, you can just create a adv pod controller.
Make a facer.
Place Turret on facer.
Link Facer to adv pod and turret to Pod.
NOw Go with your facer (phsygun) somewhere in the air.
Use Paint to colour your facer and gun invisble.
Now go back to your adv pod.
hold e on the pod
Get the remote control.
Press e. and you now control your facer + gun.
Shoot at people you dont like.
They dont know who is doing it and where it is coming from.
???
Profit.
