This is kind of a longshot but I'm typing this partly so I can use this on other help forums as well.

Problem and symptoms
- The audio slowly drifts out of sync with the video
- The audio gets ahead of the video
- After about 8 minutes, the audio is ahead by a full second
- The issue is the audio getting ahead, not the video getting behind

Where and when

- YouTube videos on Google Chrome, but not on FireFox
- Happens with every YouTube video tested

- Media Player Classic, but not on VLC
- Happens with every video file tested

Additional
- All symptoms were introduced around the same time

- No new programs or updated were installed around that time
- OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

If anyone has the slightest clue what this issue could be, please let me know.

New chrome extension count for this? Try disabling some even if they're unrelated to YouTube

Could be a problem with YouTube going to HTML5

1. Copy+paste  "chrome://plugins/" into address bar.
2. Disable some suspicious looking shit.
3. Reinstall MPC
4. YOU'RE WELCOME

Told you to think outside the box but you wouldn't listen. Just because it's freaky doesn't mean it can't happen.

Could be a problem with YouTube going to HTML5

I have an extension (not a new one either) that forces YouTube to go HTML5, turning this one off and restarting Chrome was the first thing I tried.

I also already did both those things Tabole.
One guide I found told me to go to Plugins and disable:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\34.0.1847.137\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll"

Which really made Flash unusable on most websites, YouTube kind of worked and the problems persisted.

Reinstall Chrome > keep it vanilla > check if problem persists.

Seeing as MPC has the same problem it's not connected to chrome, but to an underlying codec thing.
