Hey i have a question if it is possible can you make an frist join messege.
So when people join first time at a Server in caht will come a messege for the other people like.

[LDTmyadmin]Unkown joined first time.
[LDTmyadmin] Welcome Unkown.

So the other people can see that and can help them at start and can write welcome and so the person who joined new will be happy, :)

Evolve used to have it. But it is pointless, in my opinion.

I thought it was cool.
It was nice welcoming people to the community, I know it helped some people stay.

Sounds alright, I guess... it's not really a major thing and it isn't really needed. Not saying its a bad idea..

I don't get why it's worth acknowledging it's their first time joining. A simple welcome like this is perfectly fine... Posted Image

No one else on the server needs to see it, they wouldn't welcome them even if they did.

I am the one who knocks.

I kind of liked the "Joined x hours ago" message.
It's not important, but it's a feature I would like to see at one point.

So what was that necessary? I think it does help DR people as they are the most likely to join and never come back we need to make them feel welcome

Warm welcome messages are great, I remember being welcomed to the LDT servers by evolve.

I don't see it as pointless but another way of not only welcoming new players but showing players on the server that a first time user has joined and thus may be lacking experience, a great example of this is the noob help on flood showing for first time users.

Why not combine these suggestions and have it so when you have never joined, it shows the welcome message?
But yeah, it really was kind of nice. I can still remember people I welcomed who really opened up after welcoming them with the info from the message.

What I've seen happen on GMR quite often is when a player joins a multi player game for the first time they receive an achievement which then quite a few greet the person and welcome them to an online server for the first time.

It isn't really a needed feature but it does make people feel good when people greet them on their first time joining a server and it does make a lasting impression on LDT.

It's a feature that some people like and that isn't hard to implement at all, so why not :P?

I think we should hook up an AI to the servers which is able to detect retards, displaying a message to them that they have to insert a coin to play.
