As of now, the MoTD rule list is rather incomplete. It's missing several very important rules. Below are some of the more important ones that need to be added.

1. Do not death avoid.
2. Do not time waste.
3. Do not telecamp
4. Do not teamkill.
5. Do not ghost.

I also think that a comprehensive list of exploits would be good for ranks to reference and to end the arguments on what is and isn't an exploit.
Thank you for reading.

I agree with this. This would be a useful addition. Especially the exploit one: what seperates Exploits from Map-issues?

I think what would be best is if you could make a list of all the known exploits on deathrun with a description of what the exploit allows you to do and let the moderators/admins see what should be allowed/disallowed and what the punishment should be. After that an official thread could be made regarding the rules and exploits of deathrun.

Is there any need for rule 5? I'm not certain as I haven't tested it myself, but doesn't the admin mod have some session ID feature to counter that?

I think we should hook up an AI to the servers which is able to detect retards, displaying a message to them that they have to insert a coin to play.

Not to my knowledge.

It does i have used it on people with names that cannot be typed and therefore rule 5 isn't needed but I still agree with the rest being needed

Rule number 1 is a must, almost all the ranked people on Deathrun slay for a deathavoid.
This will help people see that they shouldn't do it and not be fed up over consequences of something they didn't see as wrong...

I agree with this Time, but the second rule: Do not time waste, "already" exist. The: Do not leech, is a rule similar to it :)

The "Do Not Leech" rule has been clamed not a rule, as it's under the "Tips" Section, not rules.
Moving it would do I think.

I think it's pretty straight forward what kind of exploits are allowed and which aren't.
I had a talk with xTorturer about this today.

It should go without saying that any glitch allowing you to interact with the other team before the end of the map is way over the line.
(i.e. a death gets hold of a weapon and starts shooting the runners or vice versa)

Any trick allowing you to skip a single trap should never be an issue. Whether it's an exploit or not.

Theres a rule on the TTT Motd saying that players must have a type-able and pronounceable name so I assume it could be handy to have on DR as well.

Yeah but there is a difference. TTT is based on cooperation and interacting with other people so you need everyone to have normal names. But DR is a solo gamemode pretty much. I agree with Trif.

I can understand your reasoning Mayhem, but let me give you an example.

Say we have player 1.

Player 1: SPAM
Player 1: SPAM
Player 1: SPAM
Player 1: SPAM
And so on...
Let's say player one has a name in Russian. Time is wasted trying to get his SteamID or copy his name from his profile, in which the rule is broken even more.

Next, let's say player 1 is freerunning. His name is in Russian and that extra time he's given enables him to waste more traps.

Indeed, the entire rule for typable names has been made obsolete by the nifty features of the new admin mod; I advise you master them.
Pronouncable names are still obligatory for TTT though.

Okay then, I honestly had no clue that such a command existed.
Editing OP to change rule to Alx's suggested rule.

Not a command but a way you can moderate. Every player has an assigned sessionID which you can use instead of his name/SteamID when typing a command.
