Does it suck you in and hold you with no escape? In that case perhaps lower the damage and instead of a AOE damage device, use it to make people a sitting duck while you shoot them.

It is pretty easy to escape from it. However, the black hole gets stronger as it consumes more and more props. We tested it on whitehouse, it became so strong and large that it clipped through the floor and sucked in props which were in a lower level. And at that point it was pretty much impossible to escape from its AOE. We were not being damaged because only the center hurts you but we were still unable to get away from it.

Most of the time, it can't suck enough props in to become that strong, I don't think it is necessary to change anything.

Does the Black Hole also get rid of bodies? If so it's definitely OP. 2 credits, yeah. Maybe even 3.

Does it also take ammo and weapons? If so, you'd just have to throw one in one of those ammo rooms on canyon and it'll fuck everything up.

One last question, I bet the Black Hole impacts pings pretty hard. How long does it last?

It may look OP but it really isnt, in the video I pretty much walked towards it, 3 dmg is dealt every tenth of a second you are at its center.

Pings are not affected that much from what we have seen during testing but as a backup there is a server convar that turns on performance mode that should remove any lag if that problem does arise when the weapon goes live.

Every new addition is being tested under server conditions at all times to make sure nothing is out of place when it goes live.

YES. That grenade wants me to play TTT again.

Also I love the killscreen and the new HUD when you get killed.

And that new damagelog stuff looks useful. I guess that is for dead/spectate only though right? Except for superadmins?

I like it, but I think it shouldn't be thrown like an ordinary nade. The lame and generic way it's deployed doesn't do justice to the unique and interesting effects it has.

I'd say it needs to be attached to a prop to start off with. The heavier the prop, the more intense it will begin.

Yea, use the Poltergeist Mechanics. Place it on a prop. Also the bigger gun youre holding should be giving it away, much like a poltergeist - to make up for the damage or confusion it may cause. Also, it will take Slot 8 instead of the nade slot and therefore cant be combined with another big AoE T-Weapon as quickly.

E: If it's too weak with the changes, you can still give it multiple charges. Like 3 charges.


Also: make the lifetime depending on the size. Small holes live longer, once it gets to a certain radius, it implodes, maybe dealing bonus damage on implosion.
That way, they dont suck up half the map on small, prop heavy maps like ttt_bank but still allow good reason to be placed in a prop-filled room.
How many ranked players did it take to deal with a simple RDM? 3-4 Trusteds and a Moderator

Perhaps this could even be merged with the poltergeist as an alternate fire!
More reason to buy it (as its versatile) and less clutter in the buy menu.



Edit: scratch that, this idea is better:
WORMHOLE MODE

An repulsive "white hole" spits out everything that the black hole sucks in.


Edit 2:
BIG BANG MODE
Powerful repulsive mode that ejects random shit at high velocities.


Edit3:
TORNADO MODE
Swirls stuff around in circles!

EDIT4:
MOVING MODE
The black hole travels in a straight line and leaves a path of... well nothing as its all sucked up.
Perhaps it could pull objects without absorbing them to fling them around the map a la fusrodah.





This is beautiful, the possibilities are endless!
