I want to make a fading spray by using custom mipmaps for it, so it fades from one image to another depending on distance.

How can this be done?
I read a tutorial which said I had to download some directx SDK, but I don't really feel like installing a 1.3gb software just to make one spray :v.
Is there a way to give a VTF file custom mip-maps using another tool, like VTFEdit?

if there isn't an easier way.. .. anyone with the directx SDK installed that feels like converting my images to a fading spray :P?

spraygen can make animated and fading sprays, but the results are of lower quality than the 'manual method'.

So, I use this tutorial to make fading sprays. It does indeed require all sorts of tools, so if you want me to convert yours, I'll gladly do it! Added you on Steam.

I think we should hook up an AI to the servers which is able to detect retards, displaying a message to them that they have to insert a coin to play.
