@Earthworm
Lololol, seriously? That's like 40kb/s upload! What the hell! Your ping must drop when you talk on TS.
I suggest you run the test again, while no-one else is using the internet, with Skype, Steam, TeamSpeak, Dropbox, hamachi, xfire, MSN and any game disabled.

@Marsh
How the hell do you manage to get more UL than DL? What kind of provider offers that?

Wow! Last time I checked I had way less upload, nice!
I waited for a moment both psycix and I weren't gaming to run the test. ^^

Its supposed to be the exact same amount, but people in my house use less upload than download speed.

    Wat is dat?

I live in the middle of nowhere, which means my internet cables are made from knitted cat gut. Seriously though, I can't help it, noone has put down any cables where I live.

Well, actually, 99% of all home-connections have a higher download than upload speed.

My theory on this:
Well there is always an equal amount of up and download in the world, when somebody uploads, someone else downloads, when you download a website, a webserver uploads it to you.
Home connections are more about downloading (getting information) than hosting stuff.
I think the ISP's give home connections 2 to 10 times more download than upload on purpose: so that they can use the remaining upload for server hosting, which mostly needs UL.

... Actually that last bit doesn't make sense. A connection is a connection no matter whether it up or downloads, only home connections seem to have split up and download capacities.

LDT is LDT.

It should be something like that, at least, as most people don't really upload anything...

I love how some people have insanely high speeds, like Gio and Pieterr, whilst others have low speeds :P

From my experience there really isnt much difference between 30 and 100...

I mean, unless you like downloading 100 things a once...

You can't use all your speed at the same time if the people uploading it doesn't have enough upload speed to accompany it, can you?

The point with Torrents is, you'll very often seed to 20 people simultaneously, or download from 20 people simultaneously.

But often there arent that many seeders, or the seeders have low upload speeds...
