[Suggestion] Hard Currency

Suggestion: In-game Currency

Subject (plugin/rules/worlds etc.): Plugin

Your suggestion: Add some sort of Currency to the minecraft server, cause last time I was on (Before ban) there where no way for you to easily set a price on thing's. So my suggestion is to add 1 Currency: Credits. Credits can be transfered via "/givecredit *Player name* 500". The only problem is scamming, but that is a commune problem on all currency based server's. So what do you think?

We tried having a currency.

It failed hard. So I dunno really. And with the fact anyone can make diamonds out of lovely old UU Matter, well...

We had a currency and it failed? Imo we had a currency and it was used properly, just that no one was playing and the economy died.

No the whole system failed because people set things too high then too low and it just failed cause no one really understood the economy and it failed.

I don't think a currency would do anything. Just trade stuff for stuff.

Are you talking about prices?
Prices too low? Then buy a lot of it, right? :| Why would you complain about low prices?
Prices too high? Then don't buy it, right? :P There's bound to be someone else who can sell it to you for less.

Yeah that happenened, then the economy failed cause people just kept under cutting people and in the end no one played because it just didn't work.

Well if someone is undercutting you it must be because they thing their work is worth the amount they take for it.

I don't see a problem, I've seen plenty of servers where it worked perfectly fine, I'm in for the idea of currency.

I know right, that's exactly how a real economy works. The reason it DIDN'T work was that psycix and I were the only people restocking our shop for like 10 days in a row.

That was only after the starting shit storm Bob, you weren't really around when it went on and everything went tits up to begin with, we had a "market crash" within 6 hours (Which I still laugh about now)

It wasn't until the gold chest was placed and a new market setup was created that it worked.

So it fucked up, then got sorted out.

But I really see no point in currency, everyone just trades goods for goods, it works and it's simple.

I doubt it.
Would be much simpler to get the money, and go buy the flowers from someone who has them.

So far I've seen the current system work, everyday that I'm on people are trading goods for goods with no hassle.

The system works as it is.

Flowers is one of the least common things for people to have in bulk, therefore I chose that.

Point is:
It's not at all certain people have what you want, or vice versa.

Indeed, as well as being a very small addon to the server, you can still use the Product for Product if this is added, I can only see positive thing's about this (except for scamming), as well as it is hard to steal money that you don't have: in a chest, or in your inventory, but a chat currency.
