Was playing around in college a while back making the most stupidly powerful mac I could. xD Would cost something stupid; ~£12000. I don't think you would ever need 64GB RAM. xD

12-core each 2.93 Ghz

Or run 4 cores of 4.2Ghz each, for only 170 euro instead of a few thousand pound.

How on Earth can anyone come near to paying £4000 for a PC like that? I got mine at Christmas last year, it is:

i5-2500k 3.3GHz Quadcore (Yet to overclock it, even though I should really.): ~£170.
8GB Ram: ~£50? Not entirely sure, may be closer to £70 but I didn't erally check.
ATI Radeon 5870: ~£300.
1 TB Harddrive: ~£80.
28" Monitor: Not sure of price, was from my Dad's old PC.
Corsair H50 Liquid Cooling System: ~£60.
Surround Sound Speakers; Logitech X-540 set: ~£90.
G15 Keyboard: ~£50.
Logitech Gaming Mouse (Not sure which): ~£15-20.
Logitech Headset (Again, not sure which): ~£60.

Overall, my PC cost around £950, might be some random accessories that I left out. But even so, it's a computer that can run every game I've chucked at it on max settings with an FPS that makes the game easily runnable, let alone making the experience amazing. I probably average around 60 FPS on high-end graphics games such as Crysis 2, but on games such as Garry's Mod it was constantly blurting out that it was on around 200 FPS, so not sure if it was a glitch or something there.

But yeah, £3000+ is what it will cost to get your PC over mine, and I'm sure I could easily get some upgrades added to mine that would make my PC better without wasting £2000, but there is no reason to as it would be completely pointless; just like what Frag said about getting the i7 processor, there is literally no point as the upgrade costs so much more and it is not at all worth it, unless you're a professional gamer needing an average of 150 FPS just to play a game.

It's not worth getting a gaming computer that costs over 2000 € (DESKTOP + MONITOR ONLY!). No game will demand more than what a 2000€ computer can offer.
Also, I rly hope your getting a SSD Hard drive for your OS and Main Games, otherwise:
Spoiler

Oh, and an i7 is totally worth it. At home I have my PC with an Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz and my brothers PC ( my old PC ) with an i5 (which I don't recall the name) and the i7 is ALOT better.

Don't say otherwise ain't until u tried it XD.

"Don't knock it till you try it."
That doesn't apply if you've read reviews and comparisons about two products. :P
You'll end up only buying one.

If they were free, I'd have tried an iPhone 4, Galaxy S II AND an HTC Sensation.
It's just that they're really expensive, and I could only pick one. :P

The phrase does apply to things that don't cost anything or take any significant effort.

The guy who wrote the reviews had both...

Wooo twice as expensive processor for 6% more performance! :D
(And hyperthreading, but who needs that when you already have 4 cores?)

Yeah, that is the old crappy version :P. It's worse than the i5 2500k.

Wanna bet? Since there are games where even 2x GTX 590 in SLI barely break 60 fps at the highest settings I know you are BSing :P. Look at Metro 2033 - The Last Refuge @ 2560x1600 for example. Try running that on your computer and see how maxed FPS you have ;).

The i5 2500k is like 20-40% faster than the i7 930 if you check some benchmarks.

Aside from the facts that mine is still a bit faster AND overclockable with stock cooler to 4.2GHz which makes it even better... yours draws 130 watts out of the socket do do that, while the i5 2500K only draws 95W.
